Job summary

People Matter PH in Makati is seeking an experienced external audit professional to manage engagements for local and international clients. You will oversee the full audit cycle from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with applicable standards.

The role emphasizes leading and developing junior staff, coordinating with clients, Managers, and Partners, and identifying audit risks through substantive testing and analytical procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related discipline.
• CPA certification is an advantage.
• Minimum four years of external audit experience.
• Experience supervising audit teams and managing engagements.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, IFRS, and auditing standards.

Work Setup: Monday to Friday, Full Onsite for 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage external audit engagements for both local and international clients, overseeing the entire audit process from planning to completion while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.

• Review audit documentation, financial statements, and other engagement outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established quality standards.

• Lead and develop junior audit team members by delegating tasks, monitoring engagement progress, reviewing their work, and providing coaching and constructive feedback.

• Collaborate closely with clients, Managers, and Partners to discuss audit matters, resolve issues, and facilitate the efficient execution of engagements.

• Evaluate audit risks and perform or review appropriate audit procedures, including substantive testing, controls testing, analytical reviews, and other assurance procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline; CPA certification is an advantage.

• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant external audit experience, preferably with significant exposure to financial statement audits and assurance engagements.

• Proven ability to supervise audit teams and manage engagements throughout the full audit cycle, from planning through completion.

• Strong knowledge of PFRS, IFRS, and applicable auditing standards, with the ability to analyze financial information and identify potential audit risks and issues.

• Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple engagements and collaborate effectively with clients and audit teams.
