Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise external audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and schedules.
• Perform and review audit procedures for complex accounts and high-risk areas.
• Identify audit risks and internal control deficiencies and discuss them with the team.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain audit requirements and resolve queries.
• Monitor engagement progress and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Support international audit engagements when assigned.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our External Audit team. The role is suited for audit professionals with strong external audit experience who are ready to take on greater responsibility in engagement management, team supervision, and client coordination.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on external audit engagements and potentially support international accounts, providing exposure to global clients and international audit practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise external audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Perform and review audit procedures for complex and high-risk accounts.
• Identify audit risks, financial reporting issues, and internal control deficiencies.
• Supervise, coach, and provide technical guidance to audit associates.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain audit requirements and resolve audit queries.
• Monitor engagement progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Discuss audit findings and recommendations with clients, managers, and engagement leaders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards and internal quality requirements.
• Support the team in handling international audit engagements, when assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 4 years of external audit experience.
• Experience in an accounting, audit, or professional services firm is preferred.
• CPA and Non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior audit professionals.
• International audit experience is an advantage but not required.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
