Finastra in Manila invites an Associate Technical Engineer to join our Universal Banking support team. You will bridge clients and our product specialists, handling issues, testing fixes, and contributing to a world-class customer experience.

You will investigate technical problems, replicate scenarios, document findings, and assist senior colleagues with scripts and specifications while ensuring timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business IT or related major.
• Very good knowledge of C/C++, including debugging skills; experience with debugging tools across Windows, Solaris and other OSes.
• SQL, Java, C#.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, responsible and customer-focused.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a customer-facing team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests (issues, questions or assistance) to enable proper product use.
• Understand the reported issue and replicate the scenario in Finastra environments.
• Perform technical investigations with root cause analysis and provide solutions or detailed analysis to stakeholders.
• Update clients on progress and ensure timely resolution with focus on satisfaction and product quality.
• Participate in client meetings (phone, WebEx) to speed up investigation.
• Validate defects by ensuring described scenarios are fixed.
• Build simple scripts with senior colleagues when needed.
• Write technical specifications and best practices documentation.
• Raise/escalate issues with Team Leader/Manager when needed.
