Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in the Philippines seeks a logistics-support professional to handle back-end ocean freight support, ensuring documentation meets country-specific requirements and SOPs are followed. The role emphasizes timely, accurate task execution and adherence to service levels.

You will work with a team to share best practices, coordinate with stakeholders, and escalate challenges to sustain high-quality service for partners.

Qualifications

• Understand the requirement of the station’s / country’s documentation and ensure jobs are executed as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure department SLAs and all Key Performance Indicators are being met as per the agreed delivery guidelines.
• Operate on the services according to the shifts, countries, or regions aligned.
• Deliver a high level of service quality through timely and accurate completion of services.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the business to identify solutions, best practices, and opportunities to improve the service to our business partners.
• Flag any challenges in the operations to the immediate supervisor and business partner in a timely manner.
• Co-ordinate with the relevant stakeholders for regular communication and flow of information as defined for the respective service.

Responsibilities

• The role requires a Bachelor’s degree; background in logistics or management is advantageous.
• 0–3 years of experience in BPO or logistics is preferred; ocean freight experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Exposure to ERP systems is preferred; solid logical thinking and customer-centric mindset are essential.

Job description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work upon one or more back-end services for the Ocean freight service line, supporting countries, regions, or global and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks/target assigned. You will be part of a larger team, sharing best practices & working upon the services with continuous improvement approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor´s degree (any). A degree in logistics, management will be an advantage.
• 0 – 3 years of job experience from BPO or logistics domain – Preferred
• Ocean Freight experience will be preferred
• Good knowledge in MS office
• Effective English communication skills, written and verbal
• Exposure to working with Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs) - Preferred
• Good logical reasoning skills
• High level of customer centricity
