The Associate Manager – Human Resources (Compensation & Benefits) is responsible for the end-to-end management of Compensation & Benefits (C&B) operations, statutory compliance, benefits administration, and team leadership within the HR Shared Services environment.
This role provides functional leadership over C&B processes, ensures compliance with government regulations, drives service excellence, and serves as the escalation and decision-making authority for employee and stakeholder concerns. The Associate Manager partners closely with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and external agencies to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of C&B services while maintaining strong governance, audit readiness, and data confidentiality.
Own and oversee end-to-end Compensation & Benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all employee life-cycle events.
Manage statutory benefits administration including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG covering enrollments, updates, loans, claims, and reporting.
Oversee company-sponsored benefit programs including HMO administration (enrollments, cancellations, plan upgrades, and issue resolution).
Manage Group Life Insurance (GLI) processes including enrollments, deletions, updates, renewals, and claims coordination.
Review and approve payroll-related C&B inputs such as statutory numbers, bank details, benefits adjustments, and exception handling.
Ensure timely issuance and approval of HR documents including Certificates of Employment and benefit-related certifications.
Serve as the primary company representative for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR for escalations, audits, and regulatory matters.
Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, government submissions, and reporting deadlines.
Establish and maintain controls, trackers, and documentation for compliance monitoring and audit readiness.
Lead responses to statutory audits, findings, and corrective action plans.
Lead, manage, and develop the C&B team to ensure consistent delivery of services aligned with SLAs and business requirements.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning for team members.
Drive workforce planning, task allocation, backup planning, and succession readiness within the C&B function.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
Provide operational oversight and coordination with the Occupational Health Clinic.
Ensure proper handling of medicine requests, incident and medical reports, employee health cases, and clinic documentation.
Monitor compliance with clinic inventory, reporting, and documentation standards.
Ensure integrity, confidentiality, and compliance in the maintenance of employee 201 files.
Oversee employee masterlists, benefits records, and data accuracy across HR systems.
Enforce data governance, privacy, and records management standards.
Own C&B-related offboarding activities including statutory validation, final benefits reconciliation, HMO and GLI deletions, and payroll coordination.
Ensure timely completion of exit clearances and release of employee documents in line with company policies.
Act as the final escalation point for C&B-related employee and stakeholder inquiries.
Partner with HR Shared Services, HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Operations to address cross-functional requirements.
Represent the C&B function in internal leadership discussions and operational forums.
Lead participation in New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions to communicate compensation, benefits, and statutory obligations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance C&B processes, controls, and service delivery.
Review, enhance, and own C&B policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
Lead or support HR audits, projects, system enhancements, and change initiatives.
Perform other strategic or operational tasks as assigned by HR leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to Compensation & Benefits and statutory administration.
Demonstrated experience in people management or team leadership.
HR Generalist experience is an advantage.
Experience in Shared Services or BPO environments is preferred.
Strong expertise in SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, HMO, and Group Life Insurance administration.
Solid understanding of Philippine labor and statutory compliance requirements.
Proven people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
