Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting, GL entries, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Adapt to new banking portals and financial software; document processes for SOPs.
• Review submissions, coordinate with providers and internal teams to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• Assist month-end closes, prepare financial statements, and perform variance analysis.

About the role

Here at M&S BPO, we are partnering with a fast-growing US-based company, to find an Associate Accountant. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership, gain deep exposure to overall business operations, and take direct ownership of financial processes. You will not just be entering data—you will work on roles where performance is recognized and fast career progression is actively encouraged.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank/merchant account reconciliations.

• Adapt quickly to new banking portals, merchant platforms, and financial software while documenting processes clearly to build centralized SOPs.

• Review financial submissions, coordinate with providers or internal stakeholders, and follow up relentlessly to ensure deadlines and SLAs are met.

• Assist in month-end closes, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis to present key insights to leadership.

• Actively engage with cross-functional teams to understand operational workflows and financial impacts.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience (exposure to US accounting, merchant services, or BPO/offshore environments is a strong plus).

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Xero) and MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data reconciliations).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with executive leaders, clients, and banks.

• Strong adherence to operational standards, accuracy, and detail.
