The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliancefor client accounts within a fast-paced BPO environment. This position is responsible foroverseeing end-to-end accounting processes, including general ledger management,reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of financial statements inaccordance with U.S. GAAP.
As a critical member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant may also provide guidance to staffaccountants, support process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams todeliver high-quality, timely, and client-focused financial services. The role requires stronganalytical skills and attention to detail.
Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balancesheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
General Ledger Management: Maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, andensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reconciliations: Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual account and bankreconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Managing and coordinating the timely and accuratecompletion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Preparing Reports: Generating various financial reports and summaries, which are oftenpresented to management to support decision-making.
Auditing and Compliance: Assisting with internal and external audits by preparingnecessary documentation and addressing inquiries; developing and documenting internalcontrols and accounting policies.
Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing ways to improve accounting efficiency andaccuracy through process enhancements and the use of accounting software and systems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
8–10 years of experience with U.S. GAAP.
Excellent communication and strong English skills.
Strong operational execution and project management skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinkin skills are critical.
Small/Medium Business work experience preferred (reports to Controller).
Experience with multi-location or multi-site entities a plus
