EXL Service Philippines, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for Life Insurance processes within a dynamic BPO/shared services environment.

You will drive service excellence, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and business growth across New Business, Underwriting Support, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims and Customer Service.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in BPO, shared services, or insurance operations
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role managing Life Insurance, Annuities, P&C, or broader Insurance Operations
• Strong domain expertise in Life and/or P&C insurance operations (New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, Customer Service)
• Experience leading large-scale insurance operations with accountability for service delivery and financial performance

Job description

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for Life Insurance processes within a BPO/shared services environment. This role is responsible for driving service excellence, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and business growth across multiple life insurance functions, including New Business, Underwriting Support, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, and Customer Service.

The AVP will lead large-scale teams, manage key client relationships, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure delivery of financial, operational, and people objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong Life Insurance domain expertise, leadership experience, and a proven ability to optimize performance while supporting transformation and innovation initiatives.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in BPO, shared services, or insurance operations.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role managing Life Insurance, Annuities, Property & Casualty (P&C), or broader Insurance Operations.
• Must possess strong domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and/or Life Insurance operations, including functions such as New Business, Underwriting Support, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, and Customer Service.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale insurance operations with accountability for service delivery, financial performance, client management, and people leadership.
• Experience working with global insurance carriers, TPAs, or insurance shared services organizations preferred.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within insurance operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Personal Lines, Specialty Insurance, Life & Annuities, or a combination thereof.
• Experience leading multiple insurance functions including Underwriting Support, Policy Administration, Claims Operations, Billing, and Customer Service.
• Exposure to insurance platform modernization, digital transformation, and automation initiatives is highly desirable.
