As part of the Restaurant Management Team, theAssistant Restaurant Manager (ARM)plays a key role in supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall growth and performance of the restaurant.
The ARM works closely with the management team to maintain operational standards, lead staff effectively, and deliver exceptional dining experiences aligned with the company’s goals and values.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and inventory control
- Support the implementation of strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, increase sales, and improve operational efficiency
- Supervise, coach, and motivate service and kitchen teams to ensure consistent service quality and adherence to standards
- Monitor key performance indicators such as sales, customer feedback, labor costs, and inventory levels
- Assist in staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and training initiatives
- Coordinate with the marketing team in executing promotions and in-store campaigns
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment
What we’re looking for
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a restaurant management role (fine dining or upscale casual is an advantage, but other restaurant types are welcome)
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to support and develop team members
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent dining experiences
- Working knowledge of financial management, cost control, and inventory systems
- Familiarity with hospitality industry trends and operational best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related
