Park Management Experience (Highly Preferred): Proven track record in supervising cemetery or park operations, including ground maintenance, housekeeping, security oversight, and frontline customer service.
Technical & Engineering Background: Strong experience in technical programs, operations, or engineering. This is critical for monitoring work-in-progress construction, managing mausoleum projects, approving work requests for repairs, and coordinating technical deviations with contractors.
Operational & Administrative Leadership: Experience managing specialized operational services such as interment, cremation, and chapel facilities, alongside handling billing operations (e.g., collecting utility/electrical dues).
Project & Contractor Oversight: Capability to monitor active construction projects, conduct site inspections, and interface directly with outsourced service providers, contractors, and internal Construction and Development committees.
Budgeting & Financial Management: Competency in planning overall operational programs for the fiscal year, preparing/tracking annual budgets, and driving cost and revenue targets.
Supply Chain & Procurement: Experience in forecasting, managing inventory, and preparing Purchase Requisitions (P.R.) for spare parts and replacements, including price negotiation.
Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE): Ability to conduct site inductions, hold toolbox talks, and strictly enforce local, national, and Health, Safety, and Security policies.
The Assistant Park Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective supervision of the operations and maintenance of the park while ensuring the highest standard of service delivery and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Manages the maintenance of the grounds by supervising the operations, coordinating activities and regular inspection while ensuring conformance to standards, rules and regulations including supervising work performed by outsourced services contractors.
Plans, allocates, and monitors time, people, equipment, and other resources in the park to ensure efficient organization, maximum efficiency and timely completion of work.
Manages the Interment service, cremation service and viewing chapel facilities, and make reports and recommendations to the management concerning the service provision, market trends, improvements & necessary changes.
Plans the overall operational and developmental programs for the fiscal year; and prepares, manages and tracks the park's annual budget for the achievement of its operational cost and revenue targets.
Responsible for directing the activities of security personnel to ensure protection of the company and client's physical assets, properties, and resources including assessing incidents and lay down strategies that will reduce the likelihood of a future occurrence.
Ensures the park rules and regulations are adhered to by the clientele, park staff and contractors.
Recommends disposal of scrap or parts with the concurrence of the Internal Audit.
Monitors and checks work-in-progress construction and mausoleum projects and coordinates with its contractors whenever deviations and oversights occur in coordination with the Construction and Development Department.
Forecasts, manages and prepares Purchase Requisitions (P.R.) for the ordering inventory and price negotiation for spare parts inventory and replacements.
Prepares work requests for all repairs for improvements and project needs requiring the approval of Construction and Development Committee.
Plans for the efficient collection of annual electricity dues and to effectively communicate the arrears of the clients including payment instructions.
Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks to ensure that all employees, contractors and clientele are aware of and comply with Health, Safety and Security Policy and ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported accordingly.
Ensures that all staff members provide good customer care and frontline service by responding to customer enquiries and dealing with complaints.
Ensures that all park-related processes comply with local and national legal requirements and all other relevant legislation.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures including participating in hiring process, training in job skills, appraising performance, recommending salary adjustments, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and work directions.
Build relationships with local government and external partners including understanding local community issues, culture and market trends.
