Job summary

TVS Supply Chain Solutions – Global Forwarding Solutions is seeking a Tender Manager to lead regional and global RFQ/RFI processes, design solutions for major customers and drive winning tender submissions. You will coordinate with stakeholders and ensure timely inputs and approvals guided by company policy.

The role requires a background in supply chain engineering or business intelligence, with 3+ years in freight forwarding pricing and proposal development across Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Background in Supply Chain Engineering, Process Improvement or Business Intelligence.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in logistics, business, mathematics, or the sciences.
• Freight forwarding pricing and commercial management experience in a regional role or across several countries in Asia Pacific.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience with a strong background in freight forwarding industry.
• Experience in Tender Management – RFQs/RFIs for Air, FCL & LCL.
• Academic and practical experience with a wide array of freight forwarding services and solutions pricing and proposal developments.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools and data structures.
• Sound knowledge of business case development.

Job description

Responsible for managing tenders, solution design to major customers. Manage regional and global level tenders/RFQs/RFIs to produce high quality and winning tender submissions. Manage the bid response process to ensure timely inputs from all stakeholders and necessary approvals as per company guideline. Gather customer requirements, analyse supply chain data to develop an optimal solution and compelling proposal for the customer. Drive continuous improvements on tender process through regular internal performance reviews with internal stakeholders. Supports the development of identified strategic customers at the global level.

Key responsibilities

Ensure tenders/RFQs/RFIs are submitted consistently ahead of the deadlines set by the existing / prospective client

Ensure tenders/RFQs/RFIs and business proposals meet all relevant specifications and are in line with the internal standards; and are compliant with client requirements

Produce projected P&L information to help the Management Team decision making

Ensure compliance with corporate tender management processes and guidelines

Work closely with Global Business Solutions team to support the preparation and submission of tenders for global and strategic clients (Air/ Sea / Road / Others)

Liaise with other country offices, agents / partners, vendors, product management teams and other related stakeholders to collect competitive offers and information

Coordinate with countries to ensure accurate inputs and timely responses

Adhere to project plan and time schedule for adequate internal review and evaluation prior to submission

Maintain records of tender documents

Requirements
