The Assistant Maintenance Planner supports the Maintenance Planner in planning, scheduling, and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The role also plays a key part in the implementation, management, and continuous updating of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate maintenance records, work order tracking, and equipment history. Through effective maintenance coordination and digital maintenance monitoring, the position contributes to improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and more efficient plant maintenance operations.

The Assistant Maintenance Planner assists in executing maintenance planning activities and managing the CMMS for plant operations. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate equipment information, updating preventive maintenance schedules, managing work orders, monitoring maintenance progress, and consolidating maintenance reports. It coordinates with maintenance personnel, production teams, and other concerned departments to ensure timely execution and documentation of maintenance activities. The role also supports spare parts monitoring, maintenance resource preparation, and the continuous improvement of maintenance systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Planner in preparing, updating, and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Manage and maintain CMMS records, including equipment information, maintenance history, work orders, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support CMMS implementation, testing, troubleshooting coordination, and continuous system improvement.
• Monitor work order status, maintenance progress, preventive maintenance compliance, and outstanding maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and production teams regarding maintenance schedules, equipment availability, and work completion.
• Prepare and consolidate maintenance reports, downtime records, equipment performance data, and maintenance KPIs.
• Monitor spare parts availability and assist in preparing material requests and maintenance job packages.
• Ensure maintenance documentation is complete, accurate, and updated in a timely manner.
• Assist in identifying recurring equipment problems and opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
• Support compliance with maintenance procedures, workplace safety requirements, and plant maintenance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably with experience in plant maintenance, maintenance planning, or technical documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance, and spare parts management.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms, digital maintenance systems, and maintenance reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management, and report preparation.
• Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
