Cevio Hotel Corporation is seeking an energetic Assistant HR Manager to help launch our brand-new hotel in Tacloban. You will work with the HR Manager to drive mass recruitment, set up onboarding, and establish standard HR processes before our opening.
You’ll ensure compliance with local labor laws, build HR policies, and coordinate pre-opening training while managing recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations amid a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking an energetic and organized Assistant HR Manager to help launch our brand-new hotel. In this role, you will work closely with the HR Manager to build our team from the ground up—driving mass recruitment, setting up onboarding programs, establishing standard HR processes, and ensuring full local labor law compliance before our official opening.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate high-volume recruitment drives, job fairs, and interviews across all hotel departments.
Oversee candidate screening, background checks, and offer preparation.
Design and execute new-hire orientation and pre-opening training schedules.
Assist in creating hotel HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations.
Set up and organize physical and digital employee files and HRIS records.
Gather employee data for initial payroll setup and social benefits registration.
Manage attendance tracking, leave requests, and initial timekeeping systems.
Foster a positive workplace culture during the high-stress pre-opening period.
Serve as a primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding HR policies and benefits.
Organize pre-opening team-building activities and staff welfare events.
Qualifications & Skills
2–4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within hospitality or hotel operations (pre-opening experience is a strong plus).
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Solid understanding of local labor laws, employment regulations, and hospitality hiring practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
Residing in Tacloban or nearby areas.
Can start ASAP.
