Westside Resort in Parañaque requires an Assistant Chief Steward to supervise stewarding and housekeeping across all outlets, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. You will coordinate with culinary and service teams to support seamless resort operations across restaurants, banquets, and gaming food areas.

You will mentor staff, manage inventories, enforce sanitation protocols, and assist with budgeting and staffing plans.

Formación

• 3-5 years in stewardship or housekeeping management.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards, hygiene protocols and safety regs.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality.
• English and Filipino proficiency; additional languages a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and lift for long periods.
• Experience in inventory management and scheduling software.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Relevant hospitality qualifications preferred.

About the role

The Assistant Chief Steward supports the Chief Steward in overseeing stewarding operations across all food and beverage outlets within the Integrated Resort. This role ensures the proper cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and facilities while supporting efficient back-of-house operations. The Assistant Chief Steward supervises stewarding staff, maintains hygiene and safety standards, and coordinates with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations for restaurants, banquets, and gaming-related food service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the stewardship and housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, restaurants, kitchens and all resort facilities to maintain cleanliness and hygiene protocols.

• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.

• Train and mentor stewardship staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures and guest service standards.

• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, including sanitation protocols and occupational health standards.

• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve cleaning-related concerns.

• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance and quality assurance inspections.

• Collaborate with housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services departments to ensure seamless resort operations.

• Assist the Chief Steward with budgeting, staffing planning and performance management of the stewardship team.

About you

• 3-5 years of experience in stewardship, housekeeping management or related hospitality roles within a hotel, resort or similar establishment

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively

• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, hygiene protocols and occupational health and safety regulations

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all areas

• Proficiency in English and Filipino; additional languages are an advantage

• Physical capability to perform duties including standing, walking and lifting for extended periods

• Computer literacy with experience in inventory management and scheduling software

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• Certification in hospitality management, housekeeping or related qualifications is preferred
