Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is hiring an Assistant Accounts Officer to maintain accounting records and the general ledger for vessels and company operations. You will ensure accurate posting of transactions and timely reporting to management.

The role requires a degree in Finance or Accounting, up to 1 year of experience, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and fluent English. A hybrid work arrangement is available along with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Vessels Accounting Operation: Prompt settlement of all accounts/payments of related vessels, e.g., crew payroll, to support smooth vessel operation.
• Accounting report: Proceeds all accounting entries and provides monthly reconciliation for management information.
• Participation in Audits: Assists in internal and external audits by gathering and providing required information, aiding credibility and image.

Job description

As an Assistant Accounts Officer you will be handling accounting records and general ledger of both SMC and assigned vessels according to the accounting rules and standards and owners requirements and informs all relevant parts for the financial transactions of vessels.

Key responsibilities:

Vessels Accounting Operation

• Prompt settlement of all accounts / payments of related vessels, e.g., crew payroll etc., so as to support the smooth operation of vessels.

Accounting report

• Proceeds all the accounting entries and provides monthly accounting reconciliation of specific accounts in order to provide management with the required information.

Participation in Audits

• Assists in the execution of internal and external audits by timely gathering and providing all the required information and data as directed by supervisor, thus contributing towards their proper and accurate conduction, enhancing Company's credibility and corporate image.

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in Accounting field
• Good analytical and conceptual thinking
• Attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Adaptive to changing environment
