Job summary

W Bridges Manpower Corporation is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to support the Accounting Manager in overseeing financial operations. You will help ensure accurate recording of transactions and maintain internal controls while developing the accounting team.

The role involves supervising staff, preparing monthly and annual statements, managing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting standards. Collaboration with auditors and banks is also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• CPA qualification is an advantage, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
• Supervise and support accounting staff in performing their duties.
• Review accuracy and completeness of accounting records and transactions.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
