The Assistant Accounting Manager supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position assists in ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and effective management of the accounting team.
Assist the Accounting Manager in managing the day-to-day accounting operations.
Supervise and support accounting staff in performing their assigned duties.
Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documents.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning and reporting.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, and other relevant parties when required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or team-lead experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of applicable tax and accounting regulations is an advantage.
CPA qualification is an advantage, where applicable.
