2. Asset Risk,Criticality and Asset Health Management(≈ 20%)
- Establish andmaintain the asset risk management process, including consequence criteria, likelihood scales, risk tolerance levels, and escalation thresholds.
- Develop andmaintain the asset criticality methodology using safety, environmental, regulatory, commercial, reliability, and financial consequence criteria.
- Maintain theportfolio asset risk register and ensure major asset risks are identified, assessed, prioritized, treated, monitored, and reviewed.
- Lead asset healthassessments for boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, switchyards, diesel engines, BESS assets, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Escalateintolerable or increasing asset risks to senior management and ensure risktreatment actions are funded, tracked, and verified for effectiveness.

- Own the Root CauseFailure Analysis (RCFA) program for MGEN Thermal, including methodologystandards, facilitation quality, evidence thresholds, and assurance of RCFAoutputs produced across head office and plant sites.
- Lead or facilitateRCFA investigations for significant, repeat, and high-consequence failures, andconduct fleet-wide bad actor analysis to identify the equipment and failuremodes with the greatest cumulative impact on reliability and availability.
- Establish andassure maintenance strategy development and review, includingreliability-centered maintenance principles and alignment of maintenancestrategies to asset criticality and risk.
- Govern plannedoutage scope development, statutory inspection planning, major overhaulplanning, discovery work management, outage deferral risk assessment, andpost-outage review.
- Drive defectelimination programs across the fleet, tracking recurring failure patternsthrough to verified closure, and build reliability engineering capability atsite technical teams through coaching and methodology guidance.
4. Thermal andBESS Lifecycle Optimization (≈ 15%)
- Ensure thermalasset strategies address boiler integrity, turbine and generator condition, transformer health, fuel handling systems, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Ensure BESSstrategies address battery degradation, state of health, cycle life, thermalmanagement, fire detection and suppression, and end-of-life planning.
- Lead or coordinatelife extension, remaining useful life, refurbishment, replacement, andretirement stududies for assets approaching design life, warranty thresholds,or unacceptable risk levels.
- Develop criticalspares and obsolescence management plans for long-lead, high-risk, obsolete, and safety-critical equipment.
5. AssetInformation, Enterprise Asset Management and Performance Reporting (≈ 15%)
- Own the ThermalBusiness Unit asset information governance process, including asset hierarchy, naming conventions, equipment classifications, criticality fields, failurecodes, and maintenance records.
- Ensure Maximo orthe approved Enterprise Asset Management system contains accurate, complete, and decision-useful asset information for maintenance execution, reliabilityanalysis, risk management, and executive reporting.
- Develop portfoliodashboards and periodic reports covering asset health, asset risk, reliability, availability, forced outage drivers, critical spares, and BESS performance.
- Drive data qualityimprovement where incomplete or inaccurate asset data affects maintenanceexecution, risk assessment, or investment decisions.
6. Investment,Stakeholder, Compliance and Continuous Improvement Governance (≈ 10%)
- Review andchallenge asset-related capital expenditure, major maintenance, replacement, and augmentation proposals to ensure each has a clear asset need, technicalbasis, risk assessment, and lifecycle cost justification.
- Coordinate withFinance, Regulatory, HSSE, Procurement, Supply Chain, and site teams to alignasset decisions with budgets, obligations, permits, and stakeholderexpectations.
- Define assetmanagement requirements for contractors, OEMs, and technology suppliers, andensure deliverables are complete and usable by operations and maintenanceteams.
