Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking an assembler to perform rework soldering and mechanical assembly on circuit boards. You will interpret ECOs, use proper tools, and ensure compliance with process standards and QA checks. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and teamwork in a fast-paced LEAN facility.

Qualifications

• Vocational Diploma in Electronics or BS in Electronics is required.
• Soldering experience is preferred (1 year minimum).
• Strong soldering concepts for PCB/SMT/Through-Hole components.
• Good manual dexterity for assembly and soldering operations.
• Experience with LEAN production environments and multi-tasking.

Opportunity Overview

Duties of an Assembler are as follows:

• Directly reports to the Rework Supervisor.
• Ensures circuit boards are applied with the specified rework soldering job types.
• Ensures the use of proper tools and equipment in the execution of rework processes.
• Interprets rework soldering Engineering Change Order through related databases.
• Collaborated with the team in the conduct of the various rework and soldering processes.
• Meet with the groups and personal operational goals and deliverables.
• Conducts in-process, incoming or outgoing inspection.

All About You

Minimum criteria for the position:

• Candidate must possess at least a vocational Diploma in Electronics, BS in Industrial Technology Major in Electronics, or any related course.
• Having extensive soldering experience is an advantage (at least 1 year).
• Strong soldering concepts and skills for Printed Circuit Boards, Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Components.
• Must have good manual dexterity to perform mechanical assembly and soldering operations.
• Experience in machine operations and knowledgeable in handling ESD.
• Proficient in computer operation, MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc), and familiarity with internet base program navigation with ability to generate and interpret computer data.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking in a LEAN Production Environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
