Job summary

Teradyne Philippines is seeking an Assembler to support rework soldering and PCB assembly in a lean production environment. You will report to the Rework Supervisor and ensure all rework soldering is performed using the specified processes and tools.

The role requires at least a vocational diploma in electronics or related field, with bonus for soldering experience and strong manual dexterity in SMT/Through-Hole components.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or relevant degree required.
• Experience in soldering is an advantage (minimum 1 year).
• Strong soldering concepts for PCB, SMT, and Through-Hole components.

Responsibilities

• Directly reports to the Rework Supervisor.
• Perform rework soldering on boards using specified job types and tools.
• Ensure use of proper tools and equipment for rework processes.
• Interpret Engineering Change Order related to rework and soldering in databases.
• Collaborate with the team to complete rework and soldering tasks.
• Meet operational goals and deliverables with the group.
• Conduct in-process, incoming or outgoing inspections.

Opportunity Overview

Duties of an Assembler are as follows:

• Directly reports to the Rework Supervisor.
• Ensures circuit boards are applied with the specified rework soldering job types.
• Ensures the use of proper tools and equipment in the execution of rework processes.
• Interprets rework soldering Engineering Change Order through related databases.
• Collaborated with the team in the conduct of the various rework and soldering processes.
• Meet with the groups and personal operational goals and deliverables.
• Conducts in-process, incoming or outgoing inspection.

All About You

Minimum criteria for the position:

• Candidate must possess at least a vocational Diploma in Electronics, BS in Industrial Technology Major in Electronics, or any related course.
• Having extensive soldering experience is an advantage (at least 1 year).
• Strong soldering concepts and skills for Printed Circuit Boards, Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Components.
• Must have good manual dexterity to perform mechanical assembly and soldering operations.
• Experience in machine operations and knowledgeable in handling ESD.
• Proficient in computer operation, MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc), and familiarity with internet base program navigation with ability to generate and interpret computer data.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking in a LEAN Production Environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
