DATEM INC. is seeking a Site Architect to coordinate with the project team on architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection details.
You will supervise body plans, wall setting-out plans, shop drawings, and as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, reporting discrepancies to the Project Manager, monitoring resolutions, and ensuring site drawings are updated.
Coordinates with the Project Team on the technical details of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection works of the project.
Supervises the preparation of body plans, wall setting-out plans, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and all other plans and drawings assigned to the department.
Attends at certain times, conducts technical meetings and plan review meetings.
Reviews the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection plans.
Reports discrepancies or design issues between the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection plans to the Project Manager and shall prepare the necessary clarificatory documents.
Monitors and follows up the resolution of the discrepancies or design issues in the construction drawings.
Reports to the Project Manager delays in the resolution of design issues and prepares follow-up correspondence to CMT/PMT.
Reports discrepancies between BID plans and For Construction Drawings (FCD).
Reports changes from PMT/CMT site instructions and/or PMI.
Ensures that the drawings released on site for implementation are accurate and updated.
Performs quality assessment of site works through daily observation, measurement, and inspection.
Reports non-conformances to the Project Manager.
Assists the project team in ensuring good housekeeping within the project site.
Ensures that the company’s safety and security program is properly implemented.
Recommends value engineering or cost-saving measures to the Project Manager.
Monitors project activity and accomplishment.
Validates/evaluates subcontractor accomplishment and billing.
Supervises and delegates activities of the site architect.
Can provide competent cost estimates if needed.
Degree in Architecture or relevant field
5+ years of experience in architectural drafting and design, preferably in the construction industry
Proficient in using CAD software and other design tools
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to find creative solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
