Job summary

Remote Employee BPO Phil Inc is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join an Australian pest control business. This role focuses on invoicing, payment allocation, collections, and customer account management.

You will ensure billing accuracy and collaborate with the Australian onshore team to reflect service activity in the billing process. You will prepare and issue invoices, allocate payments, monitor balances, and proactively follow up on overdue payments while handling

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable, invoicing, billing, or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and Australian accounting practices.
• End-to-end AR experience including invoicing, payment allocation, reconciliation, and collections.
• Experience handling commercial customer accounts and payment follow-ups.
• Comfortable outbound collection calls and professional communication on overdue payments.
• Accounting qualification or relevant accounting experience.
• Experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices for services completed on the previous day.
• Review service activity and ensure all billable services are accurately captured and invoiced.
• Accurately allocate customer payments to invoices and accounts.
• Monitor customer accounts and identify outstanding and overdue balances.
• Contact commercial customers by phone to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Handle customer queries relating to invoices, payments, account balances, and supporting documentation.
• Resend invoices and documents as required.
• Prepare and issue manual invoices for government and large clients per billing schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer account records in the accounting system.
• Attend the daily morning huddle with the Australian onshore team.
