Job summary

Aprio, a national CPA and advisory firm, seeks a senior US accounting professional in the Philippines to lead client close processes and financial reporting. The role focuses on multi-client management, mentoring a team, and optimizing accounting workflows within a fast-growing firm.

Qualified candidates bring 5–7 years of US accounting experience, strong knowledge of QBO/Xero/NetSuite, and excellent communication skills. Hybrid onsite/remote options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Licensed CPA is an advantage.
• Solid experience with US accounting standards and processes.
• Experience managing multiple clients across various industries, incl. SaaS/Tech.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work mid shift: 3:00 PM–12:00 MN PH Time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare client financial statements and month-end close for enterprise clients.
• Maintain and review General Ledger, AP, AR, and related processes.
• Review monthly financials prepared by team members and communicate with clients.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team of direct reports.
• Onboard/offboard team members and contribute to hiring and replacements.
• Identify process improvements and create new workflows to boost efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare client financial statements
• Maintain & review General Ledger, AP, AR
• Prepare client month-end close for enterprise clients
• Review month end financials prepared by team members
• Communicate and build relationships with clients
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team of direct reports
• Manage system approvals for required business applications
• Participate in onboarding/offboarding of team members (interviewing, hiring,selection, replacement requests, etc.)
• Delegate tasks to team members and ensure client assignments are appropriately distributed and balanced across the team
• Conduct monthly internal training for the team (soft/technical skills)
• Conduct performance evaluations at set frequencies and deliver feedback regularly to ensure the success of the team members
• Participate in meetings (attending andfacilitating) with managers, peers, and others
• Review existing processes andidentifyopportunities for improvement
• Create new processes to streamline tasks and maximize team member efficiency

Qualifications

• Amenable to work mid shift – 3:00 PM – 12:00 MN PH Time
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• A licensed CPA is an advantage
• Solid experience withQBO isrequired. Experience inXero,NetSuite, or other accounting platformsis an advantage
• Strong accounting skills
• Minimum of 5-7 years of US Accounting Experience
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple clients
• Experience handling a variety of industries, including SaaS & Technology
• Must be an independent, resourceful, self-starter; andalsoa team player
• Strong analytical skills - see the big picture, how things relate and affect one another,within the client's books, as well as business
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work, in a remote team organization
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
• High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task
• Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight
