Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in outbound calling, appointment setting, telemarketing, inside sales, lead generation, or B2B customer engagement
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Professional, confident, and engaging telephone presence
- Proven ability to build rapport quickly and ask effective discovery questions
- Ability to handle objections and rejection while maintaining a positive and persistent approach
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and data-entry skills
- Ability to learn the client's products, services, target market, and value proposition
- Proficiency in CRM systems, email, calling platforms, and standard business software
- Reliable attendance, dependable internet connectivity, and a professional remote-work environment
- Coachability and willingness to improve based on feedback and performance metrics
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls and use email or other approved outreach channels, when assigned, to contact prospective customers.
- Follow client-approved scripts, talking points, value propositions, and objection-handling techniques while maintaining a natural, conversational approach.
- Identify appropriate decision-makers and gather relevant information about each prospect's business, needs, timing, and potential fit.
- Generate interest in the client's products or services and schedule qualified appointments with the appropriate salesperson or client representative.
- Confirm appointment details and accurately document prospect information, call notes, outcomes, and next steps in the client's CRM or designated system.
- Complete required follow-up activities for prospects who are interested but not yet ready to schedule an appointment.
- Maintain consistent outbound activity and work toward agreed-upon call, contact, appointment, and quality targets.
- Participate in coaching sessions, call reviews, role-playing exercises, and skills-development activities during the first 90 days.
- Follow the client's policies, brand standards, data security requirements, and communication procedures.
- Communicate recurring objections, market feedback, lead-quality issues, and process-improvement opportunities.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain outbound activity and productive conversations consistent with client expectations.
- Achieve targets for qualified appointments and appointment show rates, when tracked.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of appointments, CRM notes, and prospect information.
- Manage follow-up activities and prospect pipelines effectively.
- Demonstrate professional call quality, consistent process adherence, and continuous improvement through coaching.
