Job summary

Partners Group is seeking an Application Specialist in Manila to join our Business Platforms team. This role focuses on ensuring smooth transitions from dev to production, driving improvements, and automating manual tasks to improve service delivery for business users.

You will operate in a globally connected, agile environment, collaborating with teams worldwide while building expert knowledge of our platform and processes in Manila.

Qualifications

• Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field.
• 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry.
• Proficient in working on relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server; Snowflake is a plus).
• Able to communicate well with stakeholders and has a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and quality-assured transition of application features from development to production environments.
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
• Automate existing manual activities to raise delivery quality.
• Resolve data and application related issues in a timely manner.
• Run/lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations.
• Onboard new joiners and foster team collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident and problem management.
• Maintain good relationships with business users and platform team members.
• Engage with mid-level business leaders to align on priorities.

We're looking for an Application Specialistto bring their curiosity and drive for improvement to our team inManila. You'll be part of a globally connected team, working within our Business Platforms agile operating model alongside colleagues around the world. Productivity and Quality

• Ensure smooth and quality-assured transition of application features from development to production environments
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations
• Actively develop the automation of existing manual activities to achieve a higher and consistent level of business application service delivery to business end-users
• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving data & application related issues in a timely manner
• Run/Lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations
• Actively engage in onboarding of new joiners and foster collaboration among peers within the team
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management
• Proactively establish and maintain good working relationships with business users and platform team members
• Increasingly interact with mid-level business leaders to align on their business application priorities related to operations

Leadership

• Develop excellent platform and business application know-how
• Proactively build up subject matter expertise and identify areas for further self-development
• Be a process owner for at least one operational activity in the platform
• Manage escalations related to operational topics in the platform

Compliance

• Complete all compliance obligations and trainings in a timely manner, if applicable along with guiding team members to do the same
• Thoroughly understand and coach junior colleagues on the compliance, security and operational responsibilities in your area of work
• Work with the platform to ensure adherence to Partners Group’s policies

What we expect

Must have

  Is an advantage

  • Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
  • Experience in supporting SaaS systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
  • Experience or active personal learning in Artificial Intelligence
  • Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
  • Knowledge about private markets
