Job summary

Cairnhill Metrology Pte Ltd is seeking an Applications Engineer in the Philippines to perform measurement services for geometrical and dimensional metrology using tools such as X-ray CT, CMM, and articulated arms. You will demonstrate and prove concepts to prospective customers and support the sales team with metrology solutions.

The role requires a recognised degree in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical & Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, with knowledge in precision engineering and metrology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical & Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering from a recognised university.
• Interest in learning the applications of science and technology for geometrical and dimensional metrology.
• Good communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide measurement services in geometrical and dimensional measurement using tools like X-ray CT, Articulated Arm, Video Measuring, CMM, etc.
• Provide applications support through demonstrations and proof of concept for our metrology equipment range to prospective customers.
• Source customers and manage the sales process of measurement services; support sales colleagues with metrology equipment sales.
• Report to the Applications Manager and work independently as well as collaboratively for team-wide follow-up and support.

Job description

• Provide measurement services, in the domain area of geometrical and dimensional measurement; using tools such as X-ray CT, Articulated Arm, Video Measuring, CMM, etc; to the industries.
• Provide applications support, in the form of demonstration and proof of concept, to prospective customers, for our range of industrial metrology equipment.
• Source for customers and manage the sales process of providing measurement service to the industry. In addition, support sales colleagues in the sales of metrology equipment.
• Report to the Applications Manager, who will guide you in your development and projects. You are expected to be able to work both independently and inter-dependently and effective basis for team-wide follow-up and support.
• Good recognised Bachelor's/Master's Degree in the domain areas of Mechanical, Physics, Electrical & Electronic and Mechatronic Engineering, from a recognised university.
• Applicants with precision engineering knowledge, as well as geometrical and dimensional metrology knowledge is preferred.
• Have an interest in learning the application of science and technology for geometrical and dimensional metrology.
• Good communication skills, writing skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
