Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
• Licensed Engineer is an advantage
• Experience with industrial equipment, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, machinery or technical sales preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical drawings, specs and manuals
• Good knowledge of industrial applications and equipment
• Proficient in MS Office and engineering software
• Good communication, presentation and customer service skills
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel to customer sites
• Able to work independently with Sales and Technical Teams

About the role

The Application Engineer provides technical support in selecting, designing, applying, and implementing industrial products and equipment based on customer requirements. The role works closely with customers, Sales, Service, and suppliers to develop appropriate technical solutions and ensure successful product application.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and analyze customer technical requirements and operating conditions

• Recommend appropriate industrial products, equipment, and technical solutions

• Prepare technical proposals, product specifications, quotations, and application recommendations

• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers

• Assist the Sales Team in identifying suitable products based on customer applications

• Conduct site visits, surveys, measurements, and technical assessments when required

• Design or develop basic system layouts, equipment configurations, and technical solutions

• Review technical drawings, specifications, manuals, and application requirements

• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding product specifications and technical concerns

• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field

• Licensed Engineer is an advantage

• Experience in industrial equipment, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, machinery, or technical sales is preferred
