White & Case is seeking a Research Support professional in Manila to join the Practice Solutions team, providing 24/7 frontline support and triaging inquiries in the work management system.

You will analyze requests, coordinate with research experts and vendors, present findings in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

This role is hybrid with defined anchor days in the office and requires availability on weekends and Philippine holidays.

Job description

Our Practice Solutions team leads the Firm’s innovation initiatives, supporting our lawyers in client delivery excellence. The team has deep expertise in working with established and emerging technologies, data analytics and data science, knowledge solutions and process re-engineering. The Practice Solutions team works with our lawyers to identify innovative solutions to support our clients. Through fostering a Firmwide culture of innovation, we encourage our lawyers to think creatively about how to deliver the best value to our clients and we ensure that White & Case remains at the forefront of advancements in the legal industry.

This position is part of a team that provides 24/7 support in fulfilling frontline requests and queries for the Global Research function. It will also be responsible for triaging all tickets that come into the work management system, finding the appropriate resource and expert based on the nature of the request.

The Roles And Responsibilities Of This Job Include

• Be part of a collaborative team that provides 24/7 coverage and act as the primary point of contact for research queries and requests
• Work on fulfilling all frontline requests including:
• Providing responses to straightforward requests for access to research subscriptions and document retrieval, including cases, statutes, regulations, and articles.
• Executing research and analysis on companies, markets, competitors, people, events, thought leadership, league tables and transactions
• Collaborating with team members and data vendors for help with research strategy and fulfillment
• Packaging and presenting research findings in a variety of applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Triage all incoming research requests by:
• Monitoring the request pipeline using ServiceNow
• Identifying the appropriate resource, assigning tasks to corresponding research experts, and routing Firm-related queries to the correct contacts within White & Case
• Engaging with requesters to set expectations regarding resource availability and its potential impact on request timelines
• Escalating challenges to identified points-of-contact within the Global Research function to facilitate resolution
• Engage in local, department-wide initiatives
  

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Vibrant and energetic attitude, demonstrating a willingness to perform and achieve objectives .

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, concisely, and in a structured manner
• Ability to learn new databases and research methodologies and to apply them to research work product
• Willingness to work on a shifting schedule, during weekends, and Philippine holidays
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of work
• Must be able to work in a hybrid work arrangement, including defined anchor days in the White & Case office and remotely
