Job summary

White & Case is seeking a Research Support professional in Manila, Philippines, to join the Practice Solutions team delivering 24/7 frontline research service. You will triage requests, find the right experts, and ensure timely delivery of research via the work management system.

You’ll perform research on companies, markets, competitors and events, and present findings using Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, collaborating with data vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a collaborative team that provides 24/7 coverage and act as the primary point of contact for research queries and requests.
• Fulfill frontline requests including access to research subscriptions and document retrieval.
• Execute research and analysis on companies, markets, competitors, people, events, thought leadership, league tables and transactions.
• Collaborate with team members and data vendors for research strategy and fulfillment.
• Package and present research findings in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Triage incoming requests using ServiceNow and route to appropriate experts.
• Engage with requesters to set expectations on resource availability and timelines.
• Escalate challenges to appropriate contacts within Global Research.
• Engage in local, department-wide initiatives.

Our Practice Solutions team leads the Firm’s innovation initiatives, supporting our lawyers in client delivery excellence. The team has deep expertise in working with established and emerging technologies, data analytics and data science, knowledge solutions and process reengineering. The Practice Solutions team works with our lawyers to identify innovative solutions to support our clients. Through fostering a Firmwide culture of innovation, we encourage our lawyers to think creatively about how to deliver the best value to our clients and we ensure that White & Case remains at the forefront of advancements in the legal industry.

This position is part of a team that provides 24/7 support in fulfilling frontline requests and queries for the Global Research function. It will also be responsible for triaging all tickets that come into the work management system, finding the appropriate resource and expert based on the nature of the request.

The Roles And Responsibilities Of This Job Include

• Be part of a collaborative team that provides 24/7 coverage and act as the primary point of contact for research queries and requests
• Work on fulfilling all frontline requests including:
  • Providing responses to straightforward requests for access to research subscriptions and document retrieval, including cases, statutes, regulations, and articles.
  • Executing research and analysis on companies, markets, competitors, people, events, thought leadership, league tables and transactions
  • Collaborating with team members and data vendors for help with research strategy and fulfillment
  • Packaging and presenting research findings in a variety of applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Triage all incoming research requests by:
  • Monitoring the request pipeline using ServiceNow
  • Identifying the appropriate resource, assigning tasks to corresponding research experts, and routing Firm-related queries to the correct contacts within White & Case
• Engaging with requesters to set expectations regarding resource availability and its potential impact on request timelines
• Escalating challenges to identified points-of-contact within the Global Research function to facilitate resolution
• Engage in local, department-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Professional with some experience or a recent graduate who demonstrates the capacity to analyze, make decisions, and communicate clearly .

• Must be able to work in a hybrid work arrangement, including defined anchor days in the White & Case office and remotely
