Job summary

White & Case Manila is seeking a Research Support Associate to provide 24/7 frontline help for the Global Research function. You will triage tickets, route inquiries to the correct experts, and help deliver research results across documents, markets, and thought leadership.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with weekend/PH holiday shifts.

The Practice Solutions team works with our lawyers to identify innovative solutions to support our clients. It will also be responsible for triaging all tickets that come into the work management system, finding the appropriate resource and expert based on the nature of the request.The roles and responsibilities of this job include:Be part of a collaborative team that provides 24/7 coverage and act as the primary point of contact for research queries and requestsWork on fulfilling all frontline requests including:Providing responses to straightforward requests for access to research subscriptions and document retrieval, including cases, statutes, regulations, and articles.Executing research and analysis on companies, markets, competitors, people, events, thought leadership, league tables and transactionsCollaborating with team members and data vendors for help with research strategy and fulfillmentPackaging and presenting research findings in a variety of applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointTriage all incoming research requests by:Monitoring the request pipeline using ServiceNowIdentifying the appropriate resource, assigning tasks to corresponding research experts, and routing Firm-related queries to the correct contacts within White & CaseEngaging with requesters to set expectations regarding resource availability and its potential impact on request timelinesEscalating challenges to identified points-of-contact within the Global Research function to facilitate resolutionEngage in local, department-wide initiativesQualificationsCandidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related fieldEssential Job RequirementsProfessional with some experience or a recent graduate who demonstrates the capacity to analyze, make decisions, and communicate clearly .Vibrant and energetic attitude, demonstrating a willingness to perform and achieve objectives .Ability to excel in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities .Strong analytical skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, concisely, and in a structured mannerAbility to learn new databases and research methodologies and to apply them to research work productWillingness to work on a shifting schedule, during weekends, and Philippine holidaysAbility to work independently, demonstrating strong judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of workMust be able to work in a hybrid work arrangement, including defined anchor days in the White & Case office and remotelyThis role reports toTeam Lead, ResearchEqual OpportunitiesWhite & Case is committed to creating a fair workplace.
