Job summary

San Miguel Aerocity Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to review and coordinate mechanical submissions for large-scale airport projects.

You will ensure HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs meet project requirements, codes, and international references. You will collaborate with the PMO and engineering teams, monitor milestones, and verify redundancy and safety criteria for airport operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and design review for large-scale projects.
• Experience in airport/aviation projects is highly preferred.
• Strong background in building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
• Proven experience working with PMO or engineering management teams.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and comment on all mechanical design documents submitted by the Design Consultant.
• Assess designs for HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, fuel and hydrant systems, compressed air, and special airport systems.
• Identify design deficiencies, constructability issues, and system integration conflicts and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with design briefs, project requirements, codes, and international references (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ICAO).
• Participate in design coordination and progress meetings with Design Consultant, Airport Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Verify mechanical systems meet performance, redundancy, and safety criteria for airport operations.
• Monitor the design consultant’s adherence to milestones and delivery schedules.
