San Miguel Aerocity Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to review and coordinate mechanical submissions for large-scale airport projects.

You will ensure HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs meet project requirements, codes, and international references. You will collaborate with the PMO and engineering teams, monitor milestones, and verify redundancy and safety criteria for airport operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and design review for large-scale projects.
• Experience in airport/aviation projects is highly preferred.
• Strong background in building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
• Proven experience working with PMO or engineering management teams.

Job Description:

The role is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and coordinating all mechanical design submissions prepared by the Design Consultant. The position ensures that all mechanical systems such as building services, airfield infrastructure, and specialized airport facilities comply with project requirements, aviation standards, sustainability targets, and operational needs of the stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and comment on all mechanical design documents submitted by the Design Consultant including drawings, calculations, specifications, and equipment schedules.
• Assess designs for systems such as HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, fuel and hydrant systems, compressed air, and special airport systems.
• Identify design deficiencies, constructability issues, and system integration conflicts and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with design brief and project requirements, local building codes and standards, and international references such as ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ICAO design standards.
• Participate in design coordination and progress meetings with the Design Consultant, Airport Operations, and other stakeholders,
• Verify that mechanical systems are designed to meet the required performance, redundancy, and safety criteria appropriate for airport operations.
• Monitor the design consultant’s adherence to the project milestones and deliverable submission schedules

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 – 10 years relevant experience in mechanical design and design review of large scale projects. Experience in airport/aviation related projects is highly preferred.
• Strong background in building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
• Proven experience working with PMO or engineering management teams.
