A B2B Air Conditioning (AC) Technical Support Specialist manages commercial HVAC systems through start-up, technical support, client training, and preventive maintenance.
Start-Up Services
- System commissioning: Overseeing initial power-up and configuration of commercial AC units and control systems.
- Operational testing: Running diagnostic checks to ensure proper refrigerant pressure, electrical phase, and communication wiring.
- Baseline calibration: Setting up initial parameters and controllers according to site blueprints.
Technical Support
- Advanced troubleshooting: Acting as escalation support for complex error codes, mechanical failures, or control network issues.
- Root-cause analysis: Inspecting system logs and hardware failure points to deliver permanent resolutions.
- Field coordination: Directing field technicians or dispatching on-site engineering help when remote triage is insufficient.
Training Services
- Client onboarding: Instructing facility managers and corporate operators on system features and daily controls.
- Maintenance education: Teaching internal maintenance teams basic first-line troubleshooting and error-code identification.
- Best practices: Guiding clients on energy-efficient operation and optimal thermostat scheduling.
Preventive Maintenance Services
- Scheduled inspections: Conducting routine check-ups (1 to 4 visits yearly) for condensers, compressors, and coils.
- System upkeep: Performing visual checks, gas pressure monitoring, and software/firmware updates.
- Filter and coil care: Overseeing cleaning routines to optimize airflow, air quality, and unit lifespan.
Education and Licenses
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related courses with HVAC/R technical diploma from a recognized institution
Industry Experience
- Local Market Knowledge: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience handling commercial HVAC units, with deep familiarity in regional installation environments like local high-rise developments, economic zones (such as PEZA sites), and large retail centers.
- B2B Sector Exposure: Direct history collaborating with local facility management teams, M&E contractors, and corporate developers (e.g., SM, Ayala, Megaworld).
- Communication Skills: Can effectively communicate with Contractors, client partners and colleagues.
Technical Knowledge & Digital Tools
- VRF and Chiller Systems: Advanced competence in Samsung DVM S (Digital Variable Multi) systems, heat pumps, and multi-split central units optimized for tropical conditions.
- Smart Monitoring Applications: Native proficiency utilizing Samsung SmartThings Pro and Mobile LGM (Local Green Management) software to manage commercial zones and monitor real-time power parameters.
- Refrigerant Compliance: Knowledge of local environmental protocols regarding R-410A and eco-friendly refrigerants under the Philippines’ DENR-EMB guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in using MSOffice Application
- Proficient in creating technical reports and diagnosis using MS WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT
Work Environment and Communication
- Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English and Tagalog to coordinate between international Samsung engineering teams and local project builders.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across key economic hubs (e.g., Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, or CALABARZON industrial parks) for on-site start-up and escalation troubleshooting.
