Job summary

Flexport is establishing its operations in Manila, and we are seeking a Manager, Air Operations to lead a team of specialists through end-to-end air freight shipments, from booking to final delivery.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with planning, customs, sales, and destination offices to deliver world-class service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
• 2–3 years of leadership experience managing an operations team
• Strong knowledge of air export and import regulations in Cambodia

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of air operations specialists, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, ensuring fast and effective resolution
• Set clear expectations, support team growth, and help individuals perform at their best
• Oversee the full air shipment lifecycle from booking and pickup through to airline handover and final delivery
• Ensure all activities comply with Flexport's standards, local regulations, and international shipping requirements
• Maintain high data accuracy and timely milestone updates across Flexport systems to meet KPIs and SLAs
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, terminals, and trucking providers
• Monitor and review vendor performance, providing constructive feedback and solutions to improve service quality
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including planning, sales, customs, and destination offices for seamless end-to-end coordination
• Oversee billing accuracy and cost control, resolving invoice disputes promptly and effectively
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and drive process improvements that save time, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems, workflows, and operational best practices

The Opportunity

Flexport is establishing its operations in the Philippines — and we're looking for a strong leader to build and run our air gateway operations in Manila. As Manager, Air Operations, you'll lead a team of operations specialists to manage end-to-end air freight shipments, ensuring cargo moves smoothly, efficiently, and on time. This is a high-impact role for an experienced operator ready to shape how Flexport delivers world-class air freight from the ground up.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
• 2–3 years of leadership experience managing an operations team
• Strong knowledge of air export and import regulations in Cambodia
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Mandarin is a plus
• Hands‑on, process‑oriented, and structured thinker with strong problem‑solving capabilities
• Strategic mindset balanced with ground‑floor execution ability
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• A compliance‑first attitude — you understand the importance of operating within a heavily regulated industry
