Home Credit Philippines seeks an AI Governance Manager to lead the implementation and oversight of the organization’s AI Governance Framework, ensuring AI is used responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role coordinates governance across key functions, oversees AI risk and compliance reviews, and safeguards the organization while enabling responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience translating regulatory guidance into policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Working knowledge of BSP Circulars (Nos. 808, 900, 971, 982, 989, 1160, 1140) and data privacy laws.
• Experience in financial services governance, risk management, and regulatory examinations.
• Ability to prepare governance committee materials and ExCo/Board-ready reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the AI governance framework, policies, and standards.
• Ensure AI initiatives comply with BSP, SEC, NPC, and other authorities.
• Maintain an inventory of AI solutions and oversee risk assessment of AI use cases.
• Establish governance processes throughout the AI lifecycle from planning to monitoring.
• Serve as secretary and lead of the AI Governance Committee with reporting for management and board committees.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Privacy, InfoSec, IT, and business teams to identify AI risks.
• Support audits and regulatory examinations with documentation, controls, and evidence.
• Drive organization-wide AI awareness, training, and responsible AI adoption.
• Oversee third-party AI governance and vendor compliance with standards.
• Monitor AI trends and regulations to strengthen governance and responsible innovation.

About The Job

AI Governance Manager leads the implementation and oversight of the organization’s AI Governance Framework, ensuring AI is used responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role coordinates governance across key functions, oversees AI risk and compliance reviews throughout the AI lifecycle, embeds BSP STARS principles, and safeguards the organization from regulatory, operational, reputational, and consumer protection risks while enabling responsible innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's AI governance framework, policies, and standards.
• Ensure AI initiatives comply with applicable regulations, including requirements from BSP, SEC, NPC, and other relevant authorities.
• Maintain an inventory of AI solutions and oversee the review, approval, and risk assessment of AI use cases before deployment.
• Establish governance and oversight processes throughout the AI lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and monitoring.
• Serve as the secretary and operational lead of the AI Governance Committee, preparing reports, dashboards, and governance updates for management and board-level committees.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Privacy, Information Security, IT, and business teams to identify, assess, and manage AI-related risks.
• Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews by maintaining required documentation, controls, and evidence.
• Drive organization-wide AI awareness, training, and adoption of responsible AI practices.
• Oversee governance requirements for third-party AI providers and vendors, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory expectations.
• Monitor emerging AI trends, risks, and regulations, and recommend improvements to strengthen AI governance and responsible innovation.

What You Need To Have

• 6–10 years total professional experience in Technology Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Information Security Governance, Data Governance, Model Risk Management, or Financial Services Governance
• Minimum 3–5 years in a governance, compliance, or risk role within a BSP-supervised or regulated financial institution
• Demonstrated experience translating regulatory guidance into policies, standards, procedures, and controls
• Working knowledge of BSP Circulars (Nos. 808, 900, 971, 982, 989, 1160, 1140), Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act (RA 11765), and emerging AI regulations
• Understanding of AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Model Lifecycle concepts sufficient to challenge and govern technical teams
• Experience preparing governance committee materials, executive reporting, and regulatory submissions
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, IT, and Business
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create ExCo/Board-ready materials

• Certifications: CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, ISO 42001 Lead Implementer, ISO 27001, Certified Data Privacy Professional, AI Governance Professional
• Experience with Model Risk Management frameworks
• Experience with NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act, or ASEAN AI Governance Framework
• Experience with regulatory examinations or thematic reviews (e.g., BSP Project Sapiens)
• Experience in consumer finance, lending, banking, or fintech
