Job summary

Sutherland is seeking a highly creative Instructional Designer to join the Learning Design and Experience (LDEx) team in the Philippines. You will own the complete learning lifecycle—from needs analysis and curriculum design to developing materials, facilitating Train-the-Trainer sessions, and evaluating outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Communications, Psychology, Business or related field.
• 2+ years in Learning & Development focused on curriculum design, content development, training delivery.
• 1+ year in customer service, technical support, or a BPO environment.
• Experience applying instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning theories.
• Experience creating training materials for ILT, VILT, self-paced, and e-learning.
• Experience evaluating learning and measuring training effectiveness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end learning solutions using ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom's Taxonomy.
• Analyze business requirements and identify knowledge gaps.
• Develop curriculum maps, learning paths, lesson plans, facilitator guides, and e-learning content.
• Create solutions for ILT, VILT, self-paced and digital formats.
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate content and ensure accuracy.
• Utilize AI tools to support analysis, storyboarding, scripting, and content refinement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to spec.
• Lead Train-the-Trainer sessions to ensure successful implementation.
• Coordinate training readiness including tools, systems, and materials.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness using Kirkpatrick's levels and suggest improvements.
• Lead learning initiatives addressing organizational or performance challenges.
• Manage multiple projects with quality and timely delivery.
