Job summary

Symbos, a data-driven outsourcing leader across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, is seeking a Data Scientist who turns data into actionable insights. You will design, develop and deploy analytics, ML and AI solutions that drive real business impact.

You will build predictive models with Python and SQL, work with large datasets in cloud and enterprise environments, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate challenges into data-driven capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, CS, statistics, math or engineering.
• Proven experience as Data Scientist or related role.
• Strong Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience building and deploying predictive models.
• Solid knowledge of statistics, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Experience with large and complex datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy advanced analytics and AI solutions.
• Build predictive models and ML algorithms using Python and SQL.
• Develop AI and analytics across large datasets.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate challenges into data solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Work with structured and unstructured data across cloud and on-prem.
• Present insights via dashboards and stakeholder presentations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure data quality and deployments.
• Stay current with DS, AI, ML and cloud computing best practices.
