Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in civil and structural estimation in construction projects
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Candy, Pronamics) and MS Excel
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and local market rates
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and time management skills
Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Tender Document Analysis: Ability to comprehensively analyze tender
documents including specifications, drawings, schedules, and terms to
understand project requirements.
Bid Evaluation: Capability to evaluate bid opportunities, considering
factors such as project scope, risks, and profitability.
Cost Estimation: Ability to estimate project costs based on materials,
labor, equipment, overhead, and contingencies.
Quantitative Analysis: Ability to perform quantitative analysis of
project requirements, including material take-offs and quantity
surveys.
Market Intelligence: Capability to gather and analyze market
pricing trends, competitor analysis, and industry
benchmarks to inform bidding strategies.
Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating with subcontractors,
suppliers and clients to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate
project risks associated with tendering activities, including technical,
financial, and contractual risks.
Contract Management: Knowledge of contract terms and conditions,
including requirements for bonds and insurances, variations, payment
conditions and claims.
Ethical Conduct: Demonstrating ethical conduct and integrity in all
tendering activities, adhering to company policies and industry
standards.
Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement,

Estimating Software Proficiency: Mastery of estimating software tools
