Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Operations: Oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and timely month-end closing.

• Drive Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, providing meaningful insights into the company’s financial performance.

• Ensure Financial Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and integrity by ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

• Strengthen Accounting Processes: Partner with the finance team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement efficient accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls.

• Support Strategic Decisions: Translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations that help management make informed business and strategic decisions.

• Lead & Develop the Team: Supervise, coach, and mentor accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and positive team environment.

• Contribute to Key Initiatives: Take an active role in special projects and business initiatives, bringing your financial expertise to projects that support the company’s continued growth and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with experience in a management or leadership capacity; experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and developing accounting teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
