The Accounting Manager - General Accounting is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making in a retail organization. This role oversees financial reporting processes, enhances management reporting capabilities, and provides in-depth analysis of business performance across sales channels, product categories, and cost centers. The manager plays a key role in driving financial visibility, optimizing profitability, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track performance across stores, regions, categories, and departments.
Analyze variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts, providing explanations and recommending actions.
Support business units with customized financial analysis, including sales trends, margin analysis, and operational efficiency.
Manage financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives and investments.
Continuously improve financial reporting tools, templates, and processes for efficiency and clarity.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Lead or support system implementation or enhancement projects for reporting and data analytics tools.
Supervise and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and analytical excellence.
Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.
Preferably 3-4 years of experience in financial reporting, planning, or analysis, ideally within the retail industry.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and performance metrics.
