Job summary

Cognizant is hiring for an Accounts Receivable professional to manage the end-to-end AR lifecycle, including billing, cash application, and collections for the Cebu region. The role requires night-shift availability and comfort with a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of college, strong Excel proficiency, and excellent English communication. You will interact with clients and internal teams to ensure timely collections and accurate processes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college education completed.
• Knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Receivable lifecycle (AR) including AR Customer Setup, Cash App, Billing, Credit control and Collections.
• Willing to work in Cebu and during night shift.
• Ability to work in a dynamic night-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage and streamline the billing process with controls and policies.
• Prioritize collection focus and resolve issues, including writes-offs and 3rd party collections where needed.
• Review cash applications with minimal unidentified amounts.
• Lead Credit Collections Operations to manage collections.
• Handle disputed cases and minimize bad debt provisioning.
• Guide the team for missing remittances, refund packages, and compliance with client processes.
• Conduct monthly coaching and performance discussions with team members.
• Monitor team performance, throughput, and quality according to KPI/SLA.
• Interacts with clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
• Provide guidance on new methods and procedures for assignments.
• Manage medium-sized teams and/or work efforts at Cognizant.

Job description

Order to process typically involves handling various aspects related to the financial lifecycle of a customer order. Solving queries related to Customer accounts, apply cash application and collection of past due invoices by coordinating with customer and client.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 Years in College
• Should have good knowledge of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable lifecycle and will be responsible for AR Customer Setup, Cash App, Billing & Credit control and AR collections and deductions for specific region.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Cebu
• Applicants must be willing to work in night shift to shifting schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Manage & streamline the billing process with appropriate controls and policies applicable.
• Prioritize collection focus, resolve issues, determine write-offs, notify to send to 3rd party collection
• Review cash applications with minimal unidentified and unapplied
• Lead Credit Collections Operations team that focuses on managing collection
• Handle disputed cases and ensure bad debt provisioning is to the minimum
• Guide the team that is responsible for following up on missing remittances, preparing refund packages with accuracy and supply to clients. Record all collections activities consistently as per client process (tool), deliver process requirements to achieve key performance targets, and ensure compliance with internal controls, standards, and regulations
• Conduct monthly meaningful conversations with team members to discuss performance, coaching and feedback, training needs, and career discussions
• Monitor & drive team performance, including throughput and quality as per defined metrics
• Interact with peers and/or management levels with clients or internal stakeholders
• Provided minimal guidance when determining methods and procedures for new assignments
• Managing medium-sized teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Cognizant
• Ensure quality monitoring and audits for process executives to identify areas of improvement for the team or individuals
• Report KPI/SLA timely.
• Sound knowledge of MS Excel & word.
• Strong English language skills (Verbal & Written).
• Having advanced Excel knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Ability to perform under pressure
