Job summary

Penbrothers is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Finance team. You will manage AR for guest and city ledger accounts in PMS and Xero, ensuring timely collections and accurate billing in a hospitality-focused environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 2–4 years AR or general accounting experience, and is proficient in Xero and Excel. Experience with Cloudbeds or other PMS platforms is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting, preferably in hospitality/property management.
• Hands-on experience with a Property Management System (PMS) – Cloudbeds strong plus; other PMS accepted.
• Proficient in Xero and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and receivables.
• High attention to detail in billing, posting, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle for guest and corporate/city ledger accounts in PMS and Xero.
• Monitor payments, outstanding balances and follow up with front desk, OTAs, tenants, and corporate clients.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with front desk and OTAs.
• Ensure PMS revenue data reconciles with ERP daily/monthly.
• Prepare aging reports and provide updates on collection status to management.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables.
• Support the preparation of AR-related reports for management.
• Recommend and help implement process improvements.
