Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing of financial transactions. The role will work closely with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders while supporting process improvements, service stabilization, and operational excellence.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:
- Accounts Payable Lead (BPO Setting)
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Supervise, coach, and develop Accounts Payable team members to achieve operational and performance targets.
- Manage Vendor Master Data (VMD) activities, ensuring vendor information is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, quality, and compliance with established processes and controls.
- Work closely with customers and client stakeholders to address operational concerns, escalations, and service requirements.
- Manage offshore, remote, or geographically distributed teams effectively.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Support operational transitions, service stabilization, and process transformation initiatives.
- Prepare and review operational reports, performance metrics, and other management information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, internal controls, and Accounts Payable procedures.
- Handle escalations and provide timely solutions to complex operational issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices across the Accounts Payable function.
Job Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable operations.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of people management experience.
- Strong experience in Vendor Master Data Management (VMD).
- Prior experience in a BPO / Shared Services / Global Business Services environment.
- Experience managing offshore, remote, or geographically distributed teams.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with customers and client stakeholders.
- Experience managing operational transitions, service stabilization, or process transformation initiatives is preferred
