We are looking for an Accounts Officer to join our team in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and work full-time from our modern office supporting one of our Australian clients — an established Australian construction company.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accounts professional who enjoys working with numbers, staying organised and being part of a professional team. You will work closely with the client's Australian finance and project teams and become an important part of their day-to-day operations.
Construction industry experience is highly preferred, particularly experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, invoices and project-related accounts.
As an Accounts Officer, you will provide day-to-day accounts and administrative support to the client's finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier, subcontractor and other accounts payable invoices.
- Reviewing invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Matching invoices against purchase orders, contracts, progress claims and other documentation.
- Following up outstanding or urgent invoices with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Responding to supplier and subcontractor queries professionally and promptly.
- Assisting with subcontractor payment claims and payment processing.
- Maintaining accurate supplier and subcontractor records.
- Assisting with monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Assisting with accounts receivable and debtor follow-up as required.
- Supporting project teams with invoice and account queries.
- Allocating invoices and expenses to the appropriate project, cost code or account.
- Managing finance and accounts email inboxes.
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and financial documentation.
- Assisting with month-end processes, reporting and reconciliations.
- Performing general finance and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience processing a high volume of invoices.
- Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to learn new accounting and business systems quickly.
- Professional communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Highly Preferred:
- Previous experience working in the construction industry.
- Experience working with Australian businesses.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or similar role but open to graduate applicants with little experience willing to learn.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field is highly regarded.
- Relevant accounting experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
