Future Assist is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing team in Clark, Pampanga (on site).
In this role, you will work closely with our Australian-based accountants, supervisors, and clients to prepare financial statements, tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) accounts.
This position is ideal for an Accounting graduate with previous Australian accounting experience who is confident working independently, managing deadlines, and communicating directly with Australian clients.
You will become part of an established Australian financial services business and gain further exposure to Australian taxation, SMSF administration, compliance, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare end-of-year financial statements and tax returns for Australian Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
- Prepare Australian individual income tax returns using HandiTax.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and maintain supporting workpapers and indexes through our paperless accounting system.
- Review financial information and supporting documentation to ensure files are complete and accurate.
- Liaise directly with Australian clients by phone and email to request information, follow up outstanding documentation, and respond to queries.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with clients, accountants, supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage your own allocated workflow and ensure work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Undertake ad hoc research relating to SMSF investments, compliance requirements, and relevant Australian legislation.
- Assist with additional accounting, taxation, SMSF, and administrative duties as required.
- Attend regular workflow, training, and progress meetings with your Australian-based supervisor.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is essential.
- Minimum 1–2 years of Australian accounting experience is essential.
- Previous experience in Australian accounting and/or Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) is required.
- Experience preparing Australian tax returns, BAS, financial statements, or SMSF accounts is highly regarded.
- Experience using Australian accounting and taxation software, particularly Class Super and HandiTax, is highly regarded.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Confidence communicating directly with Australian clients via phone, Microsoft Teams, and email.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, independent research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with an Australian-based team and supervisor.
- Previous experience working in a BPO, shared services, or Australian outsourcing environment is preferred.

Hours of Work
Normal office hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Our Friday schedule provides team members with an early finish each week.
Probationary Period
Six months
