Job summary

HireMe.ph is seeking a CPA with 5–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or food and beverage, to oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance. The role requires strong leadership, analytical and communication skills and a high level of integrity.

You will lead reporting, budgeting, and process improvements, coordinate regulatory filings, and mentor accounting staff while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Achieves accounting objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans; implementing standards and audits.
• Monitors revenue and expenses; coordinates collection and evaluation of financial data; prepares reports.
• Maintains chart of accounts and accounting policies/procedures.
• Complies with BIR requirements and regulatory filings (monthly/quarterly/annually) and SEC.
• Maintains internal controls to protect financial security.
• Ensures compliance with current legislation and accounting regulations; recommends procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Updates knowledge through education and professional networks.
• Supports organization-wide mission through related results.
• Guides other departments by interpreting accounting policy and applying recommendations.
• Manages accounting team: recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, performance reviews and policy enforcement

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
• Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
• Accomplishes BIR requirements, monthly, quarterly and yearly BIR filing, SEC compliance and processing.
• Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
• Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications:

• Must beCertified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Bachelor’s degree inAccountancy or any related course
• With 5 to 6 years of demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment, and quality with a background that includes forecasting and budgeting.
