GoTeam is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Cebu City, Philippines, onsite from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Mon–Fri. You will own payables, receivables, and payroll, ensuring bank reconciliation accuracy and reliable subcontractor payments for a growing construction and fit-out company.

You’ll collaborate with clients’ finance teams, handle bank reconciliations, and maintain precise records while supporting the finance function as needed. This role offers stability and long-term growth.

Qualifications

You have 5+ years in an accounts support role.
You master Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
You are proficient in Xero, Microsoft 365 and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

Own subcontractor invoice processing from receipt to payment.
Match invoices to POs and budgets; manage payment schedules.
Monitor aging invoices and ensure timely collections.
Maintain payroll accuracy and bank reconciliation daily.

Accounts Assistant (Up to ₱40,000 | Onsite | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu City, Philippines | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM PHT | Monday to Friday

Do you thrive when you own the full financial cycle of a business, not just one slice of it? We're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to be the transactional engine of a growing construction and fit-out company — someone who can step in "plug-and-play" and keep Payables, Receivables, and Payroll running with speed and accuracy from day one.

You'll work closely with the client's finance team, taking real ownership of subcontractor payments, client collections, and payroll processing, while making sure the books always match the bank. If you've built a reputation for reliability, staying power, and getting the numbers right the first time, this role gives you a long-term, foundational seat on the team.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

At least 5 years of experience in a dedicated accounts support role
Mastery of the "Big Three": Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
Proficiency in XERO, Microsoft 365, and advanced Excel
A proven track record of staying in roles long-term, showing reliability in a foundational position
Confidence performing daily bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
VA (Virtual Assistant) skills or experience

STRONG SIGNALS

Understanding of "Progress Claims" or "Retention" payments common in construction
Prior experience in the construction industry or with multi-project accounting
Familiarity with Procore (training provided)

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Accounts Payable

You own the subcontractor invoice process from receipt to payment.
Process subcontractor invoices and verify accuracy before payment
Match invoices against purchase orders and project budgets
Manage payment schedules to keep vendors paid on time

Accounts Receivable

You ensure outstanding client invoices don't fall through the cracks.
Monitor aging reports to flag overdue accounts early
Conduct polite but firm follow-ups on outstanding client invoices
Support timely collection and cash application activities

Payroll and Financial Reconciliation

You keep payroll accurate and the books aligned with the bank at all times.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including leave tracking and statutory deductions
Perform daily bank reconciliations so the books match the bank without exception
Provide broader administrative and virtual assistant support to the finance team as needed
