Job summary

Intelegencia is seeking an experienced accounting lead to guide a BPO team through month-end and year-end closes, ensuring GL accuracy and timely deliverables.

You will coordinate with auditors and clients, manage journal entries and reporting, and champion process improvements and automation across SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of BPO accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and closing processes.
• Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review and approve financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and support management reports and financial dashboards.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties (auditors, clients).
• Act as escalation point for accounting and reporting issues.
• Support audit preparation and handle ad hoc accounting tasks.
