HR TechX Corp is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead the Philippine accounting operations for a global company. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax filings, and collaboration with regional/global finance teams.
The role requires 5+ years in accounting with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of Philippine standards and local regulations, and leadership to develop the local team. This is an on-site position based in Metro Manila.
About the role
Accounting Supervisor to oversee the Philippine accounting operations of a global company. The role will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, Philippine statutory compliance, tax requirements, and coordination with regional/global finance teams.
Key responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day Philippine accounting and financial reporting activities.
Manage month-end closing, general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, AP/AR, and other accounting processes.
Ensure compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards/PFRS, BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and other local statutory requirements.
Oversee BIR tax filings, government remittances, statutory reports, and regulatory submissions.
Ensure accurate administration and accounting of mandatory Philippine employee benefits and contributions, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and Employees' Compensation (EC).
Coordinate with BIR, SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, external auditors, tax advisors, and other local stakeholders as required.
Prepare and review financial reports for submission to regional/global finance teams.
Ensure proper documentation, internal controls, and compliance with local and global accounting policies.
Supervise and develop the local accounting team.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience.
Strong experience in Philippine/local accounting for a global or multinational company is required.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Philippine statutory accounting and regulatory compliance, particularly BIR, SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and EC requirements.
Experience handling tax filings, government remittances, statutory reporting, and external audits.
Familiarity with Philippine Accounting Standards/PFRS and local tax regulations.
Experience working with regional/global finance teams and international stakeholders.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
