Job summary

VICS CONSTRUCTION & SONS CO. in Metro Manila seeks a capable Accounting Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the accounting department and ensure accurate, compliant financial records in line with BIR rules and government regulations.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations, and ensure timely filing of tax returns. Strong leadership and detailed financial reporting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BIR regulations, Philippine taxation, and statutory compliance.

About the role

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy of accounting transactions and full compliance with applicable BIR rules, regulations, tax laws, and government regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Review and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure timely preparation, filing, and payment of BIR tax returns and tax obligations
• Monitor and ensure proper preparation of VAT, withholding tax, income tax, percentage tax, and other applicable tax returns and reports
• Ensure accurate preparation and submission of required BIR schedules, certificates, and supporting documents
• Monitor compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines of relevant government agencies
• Assist in handling BIR audits, tax assessments, examinations, and related correspondence
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures
• Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred
• Strong and comprehensive knowledge of BIR regulations, Philippine taxation, and statutory compliance requirements
• Hands‑on experience in preparing and filing BIR tax returns and other regulatory reports
• Knowledge of VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, and other applicable Philippine taxes
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
